Today in class we watched a video about the Vietnam War. It taught me a lot about the only American War I don’t know much about. In the film, we saw the emotions that the soldiers carried around with them like fear and heartbreak. I also saw the military technology that we had at the time. It was interesting to how much our equipment has changed. They still had to build bunker type structures to protect themselves during battle.
Another thing that I learned in watching the video was the death count for the war. Only 500,000 (I have to check that number) Americans were killed as compared to the three million Vietnamese people that were killed during the war. The US military had no way of telling the difference between civilians and soldiers.
